I created this piece to show that live goes on. In foreground there is a large paper boat. The paper boat represents a bad events that happen in life. The living organisms is life still moving on. The sea life origami is still thriving even with the unfortunate circumstances.

The process used to create this piece consisted of first folding paper to make origami. After I finished making origami I used it as a reference. Then I painted a blank paper with water color using blue and purple to make the color of water. Then used pastel to make the origami, seafloor and water. Finally I used black and white to add depth with shadows and highlights, then scratched clay off the surface to make ripples in the water

For this art work I used watercolor and printing tools with ink
This piece was derived from a story. Written by an another 9th grader. The story was about a dad who got in a car accident before he could get home. From this I cut out a moment from linoleum. In this moment you see the inside of the car the dad is driving. The side with the arrow pointed towards it is pointed to the left where the road is cut off  sealing the drivers fate.
